What is a typical session like?
A typical session is approx. 45 minutes in duration. The first consultation is 60 minutes. At the start of your first session, a thorough health, diet and lifestyle consultation will be carried out. This will involve finding out about any medication that you take, recent operations and illnesses and your reasons for trying reflexology. Do ensure that you tell the Reflexologist everything, no matter how minor a symptom may seem. Having built up a picture of your current state of health, the practitioner will explain how reflexology works and will then examine your feet and/or hands. You will be asked to remove your shoes and socks, put your feet up on a special foot stool or you may be reclined in a chair or asked to lie on a couch.

What will I feel?
Most people find reflexology for the most part to be relaxing and very calming. Reflexology shouldn't be painful, however, some areas may be tender or sore and the Reflexologist may spend extra time on the tender spots to release congestion which in turn supports your body’s natural healing process. Your Reflexologist should always work within your comfort zone, if you feel discomfort be sure and mention this as it helps them adjust their pressure. Rest assured however, that almost everyone will have some sort of unbalance or congestion in their feet, we live in a world of stress and hectic lifestyle so don’t be alarmed if you feel some discomfort.
