When children start big school they often feel a sense of anxiety and require some emotional support to handle every day social situations.  As with pre-schoolers they can catch every bug and infections are frequent.  Your child's immune system is getting stronger and able to fight back, however for some children, conditions affecting the ear, nose and throat can be stressful and reduce their attendance at school. which impacts their learning and social interaction with friends.
