Babies need the incredible power of touch, without it they cannot thrive. We are taught to 'train' our children to be alone, 'train' them to sleep without us. In essence we are pushing them away and teaching them that touch isn't needed, paving way for an anxious and fearful child.  Constipation and colic are very rare occurrences in primitive tribes due to the attachment to their babies. Anxiety is lowered and there is no fear of abandonment, allowing the child to feel nurtured and safe, reducing dis-ease boosting their immune system and reducing everyday ailments.
