Anxiety and Panic attacks

All living beings experience anxiety and panic, it’s the most basic built in yet debilitating of all emotions.  Anxiety varies from the very mild and uneasiness to the most extreme terror and panic. Some attacks last for a few minutes others for prolonged periods.  It can be an uncomfortable experience for most, but it’s important to note that it is not dangerous, if fact, the response is quite a natural one, one in which the bodies is built to withstand.

Anxiety and Panic is the bodies response to threat, the physiological reaction that can occur when we feel under attack from a potential danger, it’s an animals built in fight or flight response.

Once the body detects a perceived threat it immediately fights to protect us. The brain sends signals to the adrenal glands, which secretes hormones into the system to fend off this potential threat.
In mild cases of anxiety this is not a problem, but when we suffer from this perceived threat on a daily basis our bodies are flooded with hormones and the stress then becomes a trigger for many other ailments.
